The Somatic Side to Creativity

I have been exploring the idea that much of our creativity, and our life's work, takes place outside our conscious control or awareness. Much of it occurs as body process which is then projected outwards as action, gesture, vocalization or internalized speech, etc. It is in this act of external projection, or objectification, that such material begins to enter awareness. At this point it can be absorbed and reflected upon and, as a further action, reabsorbed into the body where the process of creativity continues. Thus creativity and somatic work becomes a continuous, alchemical cycle. Some of these ideas are developed in my new book The Black Winged Night.

This is an ongoing approach. Serious feedback would be welcomed.
